Friday - Friday (5/6/16 - 5/20/16)

  • Complete the surveys if you have not already done so:
  • Backup all your work (machines will be wiped)
    1. Go to Finder->Preferences->Sidebar and click your name
    2. Open a Finder window and look for your name on the Sidebar
    3. While holding down the Command key, click each of the folders that you want to backup (e.g. Desktop, Documents, NetBeansProjects, etc.)
    4. Right-click your selection and Compress
    5. A zip file will be generated, which you can upload to your Google Drive
    6. Note: If the zip file is REALLY big, then you need to figure out what files are taking up so much space (and possibly delete them)

IB EXAM DATE

  • Wednesday, May 4th - 12:00pm - Pizza & fruit @ Mr. Bui's room (bring money to chip in for pizza)
  • Wednesday, May 4th - 1:00-3:10 @ Library
    • Paper 1 - Topics 1-7
  • Thursday, May 5th - 1:00-3:20 @ Library
    • Paper 2 (OOP) & Paper 3 (CGI)

  • Practice Paper 1 check
    • Print out your Paper 1 responses (you will need to write on them)
    • Partial credit will be given if turned in late
  • Complete Practice Paper 2 in the same manner that you completed Paper 1
    1. Go to Google Classroom
    2. Go to the Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) option
    3. Complete Paper 2 in a first pass w/o looking at notes. Circle, highlight, or make note of questions you could not answer
    4. Make a second pass w/ notes, answering the questions you did not know
    5. Be prepared to show Paper 2 on Wednesday (4/13/16)

  • Practice Paper 1 IB Exam
    1. Go to Google Classroom
    2. Complete Paper 1 in a first pass w/o looking at notes. Circle, highlight, or make note of questions you could not answer
    3. Make a second pass w/ notes, answering the questions you did not know
    4. You may hand-write or type your answers. Completion of the exam will be checked at the beginning Monday (4/11/16)
    5. We will go over the markscheme in class on Monday

Friday - Tuesday (4/1/16 - 4/5/16)

Agenda:

  • Demo inheritance practice project
  • UML Diagram Assignment
    • Create the complete UML diagram for the inheritance practice project
    • Be sure to include the arrows, attributes, attribute types, methods, and return types!
    • draw.io
      • Be sure to save the xml description file so you don't lose your work
      • Be sure to put your name on the diagram!
      • Submit to Google Classroom an exported PDF of your draw.io UML diagram
