- Read the following article about MITx
- Update your blog and be sure to include the following:
- Link and title of the article
- Synopsis of the article
- Identify the stakeholders (people who have a vested interest in the scenario)
- Identify AND describe the social and ethical issues related to the article
- Identify the area of impact (look at the front board on the left)
- Describe the advantages/benefits in your example?
- Describe the disadvantages/costs in your example?
- What is your opinion of the issue?
- Would you take advantage of MITx? Do you think other people will take advantage of it? Explain.

Warmup:

- Present one or more solutions to the issue(s) at hand.

- Finish Multimedia Formats Video - Burn to DVD
- Editing Audio with Audacity
- Introduction to PODcasting
- Following the above templates and rubric, create a PODcast that discusses your IT article
- Be sure to break up your script into smaller chunks. Record each chunk individually so that you don't have to re-record the entire PODcast repeatedly if you make mistakes. You can then use Audacity to stitch together your entire PODcast.
- When you are done with your podcast, upload the podcast mp3 to your Google docs. You can then "Share" your mp3 to the public. Copy the share URL for your podcast and post it to your blog.
- Print out and turn in your podcasting script that used the template (make sure it has your name on it)
Monday (11/7/11)
Agenda:
- Multimedia Formats Video - create the following:
- GIF, JPG, and BMP images of yourself
- MP3, M4A, and WAV sounds of your voice
- Create a video of yourself presenting the differences between your GIF, JPG, and BMP images. Also present the differences between MP3, M4A, and WAV. This will be the most time-consuming portion of the assignment because you will need to create a movie using iMovie that has transitions and sound.
- Be sure your video has title screen(s) and still shots of the pictures.
- If possible, try to illustrate the loss of quality by recording something as MP3. (this may be difficult, but try it out)
