  • This article is talking about flaws of Android phones like Htc evo or the mytouch. It talks about the flaws about the htc evo and that it has a very bad battery life and has bad software. It also states that the Nexus One is the best Android phone out and is the best because of its Snapdragon 1 GHz core processor.

  • The stakeholders are people who make the htc products and people who own htc products like me.
  • The itgs problems are polices and standards, and also people and machies.
  • This article relates to me because I own a Htc devices and I would like Htc to have updates every month to fix the glitches that occur on my phone.
  • If I had a way to fix the glitches on my phone, I would have updates alot.

  • [5 Technology Terms to Know]
  • This article is about the five most used words regarding technology, and there definiton.
  • The stakeholders are the people that do not know the words.
  • The social and ethical issues are people and machines, because the people are involved with terms.
  • The impact is that it would educate people who did not know the terms before the article.
  • My opinon is that the article is correct that if the five terms are not known by the reader, they should research them. I don't really think the article really effects me because I know all of the terms well. I feel that the terms should be known and are very important.

  • [Technology in the classroom]
  • The 3 most remarkable things are only 28% of schools are using Smartboards, In Florida the computer to student ratio is 9:1 and students in Lousiana's ratio is 63:1, 85% of schools have multimedia computers.
  • One of the biggest issues in my article is equality of access in Louisiana. The computer to student ratio is so low because Hurricane Katrina devasted the states economy. I think Lousiana should use the donations from The Hurricane relif fund and tax payer dollars to buy more computers and advanced technologic items.
  • I think a big part of the downside of technology is equality of access because not every person in the world can afford a computer or a computer is not available to them.Catastrophic events get countries to be depleted of their essetnial products so they wouldnt have the extra money to buy goods like computers, like in New Oreleans. I think the orgin of the problem is the poor countries in the world and the over priced products. I do not think there is any permanant solution for the problem because not every perosn in the world is going to have enough money to buy a computer.

  • #1 The fact that careers are all but selected for students in India and China also allows them to focus more in particular fields, providing them the opportunity to take classes in that field before they are even out of high school. This drastically contrasts with American high school students who usually do not even think about their careers until they are preparing to apply to colleges and may even change their intended careers halfway through college. Is this a good thing or a bad thing? Why?

There are multiple advantages from having your career picked before you enter collage but then there are also disadvantages. The advantages are that if you have your career already picked you are going to have a lot of experience is the field, and their are going to be a lot of people who know what they are doing before they get their degree. The disadvantage from having your career pre-picked is that if you decide that if your career isn't fun anymore or what you expected you have wasted multiple years of your life. I personally prefer to make my career decison in college, because I am not sure what I want to do yet for my career.

  • #2 I think the students chosen to represent Americans were a pretty good depiction of some of the top students we have here. Do you agree or disagree? Why?

I disagree that the american students chosen, were good depictions because a lot of american students don't graduate high school and a lot of people do not have 3.9 gpas. Also not all students get full academic scholorships.

  • #3 The purpose of viewing the video was to demonstrate a flat world - made flat by competing economies in China and India. And that happened because of the dot.com bubble which laid down the fiber optic cables connecting our country with theirs via the Internet. Now that you've finished viewing the video, what are some of your thoughts? Was it worthwhile to have viewed this video? Has it made you appreciate what you have? How can we say the world is flat and global all at the same time? Don't those images cancel each other out? Explain.

  • #1 In the U.S. they get paid 15 dollars an hour but people in Germany get paid 33 dollars an hour.
  • #2 I am surprised by the price difference because the Standard living of the United States has a higher standard of living than Germany and the U.S. has a higher Per capita GDP.
  • #3 Toyota offshores to the untied states because they make more money.

Facebook Developers Sold User IDs to Data Brokers

  • This article is about the security of facebook users and how the developers were selling the user identifications. (email address and password)
  • The stakeholders are the people that use facebook.
  • The issue is privacy and anonymity because a person's privacy is being violated and anonymity is being violated because people can fake who they are with it.
  • The area of impact would be entertainment and leisure because less people would use facebook after finding out about this.
  • I think that is wrong because I use facebook and I wouldn't want anybody to sell my infromation.
