  • [1]Activision: Violent games law chokes free speech
  • Summary
  • This article has to do with violence in video games and peoples first amendment rights. Basicaly some people in california dont like the fact that minors can buy M rated games in stores and this case has worked its way up to the U.S. Supreme Court. This court case has to do with whether video games are protected under the first amendemt.
  • Stake holders in this article are as mentoined in the article Acticision and the United States government.
  • This article ties into the policies and standards part of ITGS.
  • The impacts me at the moment as for now I am still a minor who likes to play voilent video games
  • To solve this I would just leave the laws as they are to purchase video games

  • face book has been changeing rapidlly in the past few months and some feature are becoming less and less important most recently the groups feature has been revamped

The Internet's veil of anonymity is a double-edged sword, where you can get advice from friends you've never met after a roommate torments you without ever looking you in the eye.

  • this is a article in response to the suicide on the rutgers student who jumped off the GW bridge after his roommate posted a video of him making out with another guy and how this is becoming more and more common
  • people effected by this are poeple who might have things they dont want the rest of the rest of the world to know.

  • Recently, there was a website that allowed people to post "what-ifs" about the WL class of 2011. Some of the what-ifs were nice, some were mean, and all posts were anonymously made. Anybody could make a comment about anybody else.
  • The social ethical issue that arise in this situation are privacy and anonymity, people and machines, polices and standards, and control
  • The possible impact of this is peoples feelings getting hurt and someone acting on this and harming themselves and/or another person
  • I honestly thought it was funny and a little immature but it is a quick way (i.e. lazy way) to get what ifs for the year book
  • personally if i was the form spring adim or whomever controls formspring i would show who posted what
  • I think that the rule of formspring are rules that are simple to understand and follow and are morale and just
