Objective

  • You will create a public service announcement (PSA) relating to an IT article of your choosing
  • You will reflect on the IT article
  • You will write a script for your PSA
  • You will illustrate a basic storyboard for your PSA
  • You will film and edit your PSA

Deliverables

IT Article

  • Pick an IT article within the last 6 months
  • Print out the article
  • Read the article

Reflection

  • Write a reflection on the IT article that you found. Your reflection should discuss the following:
    • Who are the stakeholders?
    • What social/ethical issues are related to the article? Explain why.
    • Which area of impact(s) are most affected by the article?
    • What are the advantages / disadvantages (costs/benefits) from the technology issue presented in the article
    • Explain a solution or two for the issue presented in the article

Script

  • Write a script for a PSA video that is 30-60 seconds long (you may go over if you please)

Storyboard

  • Illustrate a storyboard for your PSA video
  • There should be at least 5 panels in your storyboard
  • Each panel in the storyboard should have a caption explaining what is happening

Public Service Announcement Video

  • Film and edit a PSA video that is 30-60 seconds long

Deadline

  • The above deliverables are all due on the day of your exam: Tuesday, June 22nd, 2010
