  4. No text books/note books/instruction books are to be brought into the exam room
  5. No food or drink (other than water) are to be brought into the exam room
  6. No cell phones or other electronic devices are to be brought into the exam room—if caught with a phone, the student will be dismissed from the room and the exam will be canceled
  7. Candidates should take at least a pen, a pencil and a ruler to all examinations
  8. Students must write in either blue or black ink (except for multiple choice papers)
  9. Students should use pencils for drawing and for multiple choice papers
  10. Items of general stationery, such as erasers, colored pencils, rulers and geometry instruments are allowed
  11. Calculators will be provided by WL
  12. Rough/scratch paper will not be provided for planning an answer. For unstructured examination papers such work must be written in an answer booklet. For examinations that use a structured examination paper the working out etc can be written on the examination paper, supplemented with answers booklet if necessary. If a student does not want this draft work to be marked, a line must be drawn through that work

  14. Early departures—students are not allowed to leave the examination room during the first hour or during the last 15 minutes of an examination. Consequently, students will not be allowed to leave the examination room if the duration is one hour or less. If a candidate leaves the examination before the scheduled finishing time, the student will not be allowed to return
  15. Late arrivals with no acceptable reason (civil unrest, road accident) will NOT be allowed to enter the examination room
