- Bookmark or save the link
- Open a Google document
- Share the document with Mr. Bui
- Name the document Computer Hardware Assignment
- Copy & paste the link to the computer that you found
- Copy & paste a picture of the computer that you found

- Copy & paste the price
- Create 4 different headers: Component, Make/Model, Cost, Link
- Paste the following into the Component column of your spreadsheet:
- Motherboard
- CPU
- RAM (memory)
- Hard drive
- Video/graphics card
- CD/DVD burner
- Case
- Power supply
- Monitor
- Keyboard
- Mouse
- Using Newegg, find the components of your pre-built machine
- Make sure that your components "match" up with the motherboard
- For each part, copy and paste the following into your document:
- The full name of the part (including make and model) into the Make/Model column
- The cost of the part in the Cost column
- The link to the part's page in the Link column (in case you need to find it again)
- After you have "purchased" all the parts, at the bottom of the spreadsheet, total the cost of your machine
- You should use the spreadsheet function =sum() <- watch Mr. Bui's demo!
- Show the cost of the manufactured machine in the cell below your total
- Use some spreadsheet magic and show the difference between your total and the manufactured computer
